Easy-peasy puff pastry tarts with vanilla pudding and strawberries đÂ
How cute are these strawberry flowers on this little tart?
These are super easy to make and such a cool treat, if you need something sweet – fast! Storebought puff pastry is one of these things, you should keep in the fridge, so you can whip up something delicious, easily and without preparing a dough of your own. Perfect for a spontaneous visit from a friend or a playdate for the kids.
Here is what you need:
Recipe for 8 puff pastry tarts with vanilla pudding and strawberries
- 1 store bought puff pastryÂ
- 250 ml of milk
- 1/2 a Package of vanilla pudding
- 2 packages of vanilla sugar/alternatively 15 grams of sugar and 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
- 150 grams of strawberries đÂ
- A handful of chopped almonds
- BlueberriesÂ
- Powdered sugar for dustingÂ
Instructions:
Start by cooking the pudding-according to instructions. I mixed 2 tbsp of milk with the vanilla pudding and brought the milk to a boil together with the vanilla sugar. Once the milk starts to boil, turn down the heat completely and add the pudding-milk-mixture. Keep stirring for another minute.
Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into 16 squares, this will make 8 delicous puff pastry tarts. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
Then put 8 of these on a baking sheet. Cut a star on the remaining 8 and put a big spoonful of pudding on each of the puff pastry pieces, which are on the baking sheet. Add the second cut out puff pastry and use a fork to seal the edges and bake for 12-14 minutes-until golden brown.
Once these have cooled a little bit, you can add strawberries, almonds or simply other delicious fruits. Go crazy with the toppings and as a finish, sprinkle everything with powdered sugar.
Note:
Puff pastry is not sweet, so you can easily add some more sugar to the topping – such as vanilla pudding or a dusting with powdered sugar is a great finish for these or other puff pastry treats.
I hope you will like these!
Love and happiness,
