Homemade frozen yoghurt
I love frozen yoghurt and as crazy as that may sound. I rather eat frozen yoghurt, than regular ice cream. Since the days are getting warmer, I have started to make my own, since it is super easy to prepare. You just need a freezer, a blender and 5 ingredients. Easy-Peasy. The kids topped theirs with mini marshmallows and I topped mine with the Cherry Kiss from @justspices. It adds the prefect crunch and just the right amount of sweetness from the cherries and the roasted cocoa-bits. So good! R E C I P E
- 350 grams of greek yoghurt (10 % fat)
- 30 grams of powdered sugar
- ½ tsp of lemon zest (or more – according to your preference)
- 50 grams of heavy cream
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- Freeze the yoghurt in ice cube trays until completely solid. 4-6 hours or overnight.
- Add the frozen yoghurt bits to a blender. Add in the sugar, lemon zest and vanilla. Mix this (10-30 seconds) until the yoghurt bites have turned into yoghurt granita.
- Add the cream in last and mix until it is smooth. It usually takes about a minute- depending on your blender.
- Serve immediately and top with marshmallows, chocolate pieces or cherry kiss. Whatever you have on your hands.

It’s really delicious and you can just eat it plain. So good!
This recipe makes 2 servings. Just double the amount, if you want to make 4 or more.
Hope you give this a try. It’s so refreshing!
Love and Happiness,
Sue
