Baked Vanilla Donuts

Super fluffy baked vanilla donuts with chocolate frosting 🍩

We looove donuts. I mean, who doesn’t, right?

I prefer the baked version of donuts, since it’s so easy to prepare and soo delicious as well!!

This is an easy-peasy recipe, since the donuts can be whipped up in 10 minutes & the baking time is just 9-11 minutes. Easy-peasy. Seriously!

Aside from the flavor, my daughter loooved the texture of these. The buttermilk makes these extra fluffy and the vanilla pudding powder creates a super soft, velvety texture. So good! 🍩

So here is what you need for 24 baked vanilla Donuts

  • 250 g of melted butter (this needs to cool down a little bit after melting) this gives you time to get all the other ingredients ready.😉
  • 250 ml of buttermilk or 250 ml of milk + 1.5 tsp of lemon juice
  • two eggs
  • 2 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 115 g of brown sugar
  • 30 g of regular sugar
  • 325 grams of flour & 25 grams of vanilla pudding powder by alternatively you can use take cornstarch
  • 1.5 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp of baking soda
  • a pinch of salt
  1. Mix the wet ingredients together with the sugar for 2 minutes, until it is a smooth batter. Then add flour and baking soda/ baking powder.
  1. Grease a donut pan and preheat oven to 215 degree. Scoop or pipe batter into the pan. Only fill the pan 2/3 so the dough can still rise in the oven.
  2. Bake for 9-11 minutes. Check with a toothpick if the donuts are done- after the baking time. The toothpick should come out clean. Let the donuts cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then get the donuts out & transfer to a cooling rack. Decorate with icing or melted dark chocolate & sprinkles.
  3. Enjoy!! 🍩

Love and Happiness,

Sue
